SyncML (
Synchronization Markup Language) is the standard defined by the Open Mobile Alliance for mobile data synchronization (DS) and mobile device management (DM).
Its importance is vital and demonstrated by its massive adoption by the majority of device manufacturers.
However, up until now, the
SIM world had never really addressed the complete implementation of the
SyncML DS standard.
Thanks to the KeySyncML project, the
SIM ards can now also take full advantage from the potential of
SyncML.
KeySyncML is a
JavaCard library with which you can implement any type of application that communicates via
SyncML.
Thanks to the quality of the software produced by
Key Vision and the important contribution provided by the
Incard optimizations, KeySyncML is characterized by a small footprint considering the enormous potential that it brings to the market.
To host the KeySyncML library the target SIM (or smart card) has to be compliant to the following elements:
- ETSI/3GPP Rel 6 64K or above
- Java Card 2.2.1
- 3G or 2G
- Global Platform 2.1.1
- Administrative Controls ETSI TS 102 222
- 23 KB EEPROM
- about 1,8 KB of RAM available
KeySyncML brings the power of the SyncML standard right in the heart of the SIM card
